Steve Shooltz - 1970

Steve was named to the Associated Press First Team All State Class C team for the 1970 Season as a Center. That same year, Steve was also named to the UPI First team as a Center.

Steve was named Central Michigan Athletic Conference's All Conference center for both his Junior and Senior seasons. While Steve's best position was center, he also played multiple positions along both the offensive and defensive lines. Steve also handled the teams Kicking duties his Junior and Senior years.

Steve was a three year starter at center and DeWitt's football teams won the conference championship in his junior year with an 8-0 record and a perfect 9-0 overall. They again won the conference championship with a 7-0 record in his senior year. His senior season's accomplishments were named despite playing the last half of the season with a broken hand.
